What is SchoolFinder?
SchoolFinder is an independent school and nursery directory built for parents. Browse structured profiles with curriculum, fee bands, grades, admissions notes and contact details — then compare schools side by side and reach admissions teams directly.
Is SchoolFinder free for parents?
Yes. Searching, browsing, comparing schools, saving shortlists and submitting enquiry forms is completely free for parents. We do not charge families to use the directory.
Which countries does SchoolFinder cover?
We launched in the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Bahrain and are expanding across the GCC. Country and city pages show live coverage. New schools and areas are added regularly.
How does school comparison work?
Add up to four schools to your compare list as you browse. Open the compare tool to see curriculum, fees, admissions and contact details side by side. We also publish permanent comparison pages for popular school pairs at /compare.
What does the verified badge mean?
A verified badge means the school has claimed its profile and confirmed ownership with an official school-domain email. It indicates the school maintains its listing — not that SchoolFinder endorses or ranks the school as “best”.
How do I contact a school?
Each school profile shows admissions email, phone, website, WhatsApp and enquiry forms where provided. You contact the school directly — SchoolFinder does not act as a middleman or take commissions on admissions.
Are fees on SchoolFinder accurate?
We publish fee bands from public sources and school-submitted data. Fees, discounts and availability change frequently. Always confirm final fees, seat availability and admissions requirements directly with each school before applying.
Is there a school fee calculator for multiple children?
Yes. SchoolFinder's free school fee calculator at /school-fee-calculator lets you add up to six children, assign a different school to each, and see annual, per-term and monthly tuition from verified per-grade or stage-band data. Share or print a household summary before you contact admissions.
Can I find nurseries as well as schools?
Yes. Browse the nurseries directory for early-years settings by country and area. Nursery profiles follow the same principles: structured information, transparent fees where available, and direct contact with the nursery.

Claiming, verifying and managing your SchoolFinder profile.

How does a school claim its profile?
Search for your school in the directory and start the claim flow at /claim. Verify ownership with your official school-domain email. Once approved, you can sign in to the school portal to update details and respond to parent enquiries.
Does verification cost anything?
No. Verification is free for every school. There is no credit card required to claim and verify your profile.
How do we keep our profile up to date?
Sign in to the school portal to edit contact details, admissions notes, fee bands and more. Some changes may be reviewed by our team before going live to maintain directory quality.
Can multiple staff access the school portal?
Yes. Verified school accounts can invite colleagues to the portal with appropriate access. Contact us if you need help transferring ownership between staff.
Another person claimed our school — what do we do?
Email us from your official school domain with details. We verify ownership disputes carefully and can transfer portal access to the correct representative.
How do parent enquiries reach us?
When parents submit an enquiry through your profile, it appears in the Leads section of your school portal. You can track status, add notes and follow up directly with families.

Independence, data, privacy and how SchoolFinder works.

Is SchoolFinder independent?
Yes. We do not take commissions from schools for admissions placements. Schools may optionally pay for clearly labelled Featured visibility, but that never affects verification status or editorial independence.
Does SchoolFinder rank schools as “best”?
No. We do not publish “best school” rankings or paid editorial endorsements. Search and filter results help you find schools that match your criteria — verification and Featured badges are always explained separately.
Where does school information come from?
Profiles combine publicly available information, structured data we collect, and updates submitted by verified schools. Verified schools can keep their listings accurate through the portal.
How is my data handled when I enquire?
When you submit a lead form, your enquiry is shared with the school you contacted. We explain consent at the point of submission. See our privacy policy for full details on data retention and your rights.
Our school is not listed yet — can you add it?
We add schools as we expand coverage. If your school is missing, use the claim flow or contact us with basic details (name, location, website) and we will prioritise adding it.
I spotted incorrect information — how do I report it?
If the school is verified, they can update their profile in the portal. Otherwise, use the contact page to tell us what is wrong. Include the profile URL and the correction so we can review quickly.
